    This camera is pretty much the same as a poloroid camera but 1/4th the price per picture. I got the camera plus package deal of five twin packs.

    It was a great deal. This camera is alot of fun to use and since the film is not as costly as poloroid film is, you may be able to have fun and take many of pictures and not stress that you’re wasting film or money. Its a great instamatic to have.

    Simple. Works well. Easy to load and use. The pictures are smaller than the common 3X5 but sharp. The only real downside is that the flash is auto when the light is low. You may be able to force a flash for fill in in bright light but you can not turn it off in low light. If you want those dramatic black sunsets or candle lit mood shots this isn’t the camera for you. It’s a big but not heavy camera in comparison to modern digital ones.

    This camera and little pictures are so fun to play with. If you loved Polaroid film you will really like this set up. The pictures are smaller but I like to take them , then drop them in an envelope to friends and family.I could say it is a bit better outdoors but it is really good inside as long as you are not too far way. I am going to get one for my sister for the holidays.

    Very much worth the money.

    easy to use and get accustomed to, catches everyones attention.

    Bigger than you’d expect, film is a bit hard to find.

    Battery life is reasonable, flash is a bit troublesome on occasion. Pictures still come out too black if flash can be used in a large room or for far away subjects.

    Overall happy and enjoying product.

    I agree with what was said, that this camera is bulky and big. But hey, were not all the old Polaroid cameras somewhat big and bulky? You do not but this kind of camera to pack in your pocket when you are on the run. The camera size got some laughs, but hey, that really helped draw attention to it and made the camera get more use at my party.

    Having said that about size, the Fuji Instax 200 is a great party camera. Put it out on a table at a party and support your guests to pick it up and snap away. Great idea put a photo album beside the camera with pens and stickers and other scrapbooking materials and support people to instantly turn their pictures into a scrapbook memory for the birthday person or retiree or whoever you are throwing a party for.

    Picture quality is pretty darn good for an instant camera. At my party we had a Fuji Instax 200 and a Polaroid 600 in use and the Fuji pictures were much clearer, sharper, and more colorful. It’s a easy camera to use too. Just decide one of two distance choices, one of three light settings , then shoot. Some seconds afterward you have an instant memory.

    I find the film to be somewhat costly at about $1 per picture. You may be able to get it for about .75 cents per picture if you purchase film in bulk. So far I have only found film online at and the Lomography shop. So plan ahead and order enough film to make it through some events.

    Great camera. Not really for the “take it along on vacation” application, but if you are looking for that, Fuji makes a smaller Instax 25 for about triple the price though.

    This was a gift my 70 year old vision impaired mother loves it! She can not operate a conventional camera so this was a perfect replacement for the old Polaroid she had. It is a bit more cumbersome than her old camera but she likes that each photo comes through the top rather than the front of the camera. Great product!

    I have traditionally maintained both disposables for electronics that gradually run down the battery, and rechargeables for everything else.

    Eneloops now take care of all my needs. The flashlight still works after sitting in a drawer for months and high discharge things need less charging too. Thanks to the low self discharge rate.

    Because these have such a low discharge rate spare batteries do not have to be permanently tethered to the charger. Just charge them and set them on the side till needed. You will save some energy by unplugging your charger too.

    The biggest disadvantage for Nickel Metal Hydride batteries is the counter life. I got gadgets and toys all around the house, so I constantly charging batteries to have them prepared when I need them. There will be little juice left if you put them in the counter unused for a couple of months. A waste of time and energy. Hence, one of the biggest advancement in battery technology is the arrival of the new low discharge Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. This is another great step in helping the environment. I have not many left of the old batteries since I started to replace all of them with low discharge batteries. Eneloops and Duracell are two of the best of its type.

    Pros:

    Low discharge.

    Fine quality product. Well constructed

    Conventional size and dimension.

    You can use your present NiMh charger for these batteries

    Cons:

    More costly than common NiMh

    Not available at many brick & mortar stores
