Rating: Tough to install the 1st time, but good once it is on.
Works on my 2004 Toyota Prius, but man, this thing was hard to install the 1st time. Opposite to the information that come with the kit, you really have to get the whole thing assembled feet, load bars and fit kit BEFORE putting the rack on the car. If you attempt to do it while the unit is located on the roof of the car, the bolts aren’t long enough to engage the threaded nut way up inside each foot. As well, stick to the measurements they identify in the information. That part they did get right.

Now that I did the intital set up though, the rack is super tough, and comparatively easy to take on and off. To fit the 2004 Toyota Prius you’ll need the Thule Fit Kit #2142, a set of the Thule 400xt Aero Feet, and a set of load bars of your wanted length I got the LB58, 58″ ones.

Overall a good product, but Thule could do a way better job on their instruction manual.

I have the 400xt Aero Foot, LB65 Square Load Bars, 2119 Fit Kit and locks on my 2007 Toyota Matrix XR and love it. I was a little taken a back by the price, but you get what you pay for. I wanted something stable, when it’s on my car, I do not want it to come off. I did not want to realize my stuff was gone and come back 100 miles afterward and find it on the road.

We had one of Thule’s racks on our 77 VW Van in the late 70s 80s. We moved from Alaska to WV with that rack on our car. Many place in CO we got stuck in a blizzard and the wind was so strong our car rocked up on two wheels. The rack and our stuff stayed on strong. I knew when it was time for a rack on my car Thule was the way to go. Sure it is costly, but you get what you pay for.

Rating: Fits the Honda Accord 2005
Had to struggle a bit to put it on my car. While the front side installed without much fight, the back side there was many struggle. With the help of a friend we were able to mount the whole rack system in two hours. But, before that I had spent two hours by myself and gave up. It fits too tight to the car, which is needed and good. But, throughout the installation I felt there was no leeway in the spacing of rubber pads or the base even some millimeters.

In the end, but the Aluminium bars look good on the car in comparison to the square or round coated bars.

Ordered the Thule Fit Kit for my 2000 Mercedes E430 Sport. Had a little trouble to get the kit installed with the Thule RB47 fast Aero Aluminum Roof Rack Load Bars and Thule 400XTR Aero fast Roof Rack Foot Pack, it was some a struggle to get the screws locked in, since I performed the install directly on the car roof. Once I took all the pieces off, connected the fit kit to the load bars and fit kit off of the car , then loaded all the pieces together it worked. I have to purchase the Thule skirt so that it blocks out the wind sound while driving. While driving there aren’t issues at around 75 80mph I had no issues.

This fit kit was a perfect fit for my 2007 Versa. The price is by far the lowest I found, comparing it to Thule.Com. It took me about 30 minutes to install my racks and I advice future purchasers to get a second person to help with the installation. The delivery was super fast, it only took five days to get this product from and shipping was free! I’m happy with this buy. I’m now prepared for my trip.
